Warrior Cats
Warriors, also known as Warrior Cats, is a book series about feral anthropromorphic cats surviving in the wild, featuring prophecies, omens, wars, shakespearean dramas, and even bestowed magical powers?!! It follows 5 organized groups of wild cats, called Thunderclan, Riverclan, Windclan, Shadowclan, and the later addition Skyclan. (However ... if you follow recent publications, there was a clan revealed in the book Ivypool's heart called Stormclan, who is not part of the main series of events, but has its own book published titled Stormclan's Folly. The more the merrier I suppose!)
Warriors started as a series by HarperCollins (the publishing company of Warriors) asking author Victoria Holmes (nickname Vicky) to write a series about feral cats. Holmes then came into contact with other authors, who contributed under the series alongside her under the pen-name Erin Hunter. Erin Hunter is now a huge team of writers, but back when the series was just beginnning, it was writers like the aforementioned and well-known Victoria Holmes, Cherith Baldry and Kate Kary who wrote the books. And so, on January 21st, 2003, the first Warriors book was published: Into the Wild. It was later titled under the arc The Prophecies Begin in recent years.
Warriors is still ongoing, with the most recent arc being Changing Skies! The releases so far are: The Elder's Quest, Hidden Moon, Chasing Shadows, and Guiding Light. I'm personally not caught up with this arc, but I'm interested in it nonetheless!
Besides from the regular books of the different arcs, there are other types of books. Firstly are Super Editions, which are a standalone book following a character from the series in whatever kind of wacky scenario the writing team comes up with; some characters get their entire life written out, and some follow a single adventure in the character's life. Secondly, are Novellas, which are conversely shorter books that take place during a character's life. There's also mangas/graphic novels, which are what they sound like. And lastly, guidebooks, which are sometimes contradictory, but if you don't think about it too hard it's interesting to get a closer look into the world of Warrior Cats aside from the main books.
I personally started reading Warriors in early 2021, and I still am today! It's one of my main interests (of all time), and I could probably infodump about it to you for hours, but I'll spare you this time!
